; This is an example Well of Souls Script File
;
; The format is not very forgiving, and the documentation is what you see here, so my
; very best of luck to you getting it to work!
;
; Comment lines must BEGIN with a semi-colon
; Most non-comment lines start with a KEYWORD, which might have some ARGUMENTS
; Some keywords announce the beginning of a new section. A plus sign marks
; the beginning of a section, a minus sign marks the end, as in:
;
; +SECTIONNAME
; <obj#1>
; <obj#2>
; -SECTIONNAME
;
; Sections can appear in any order, but here are the current section names:
;
; CREDITS // documentation of the world's authors
; STORY // Background story which scrolls by at start
; TERRAINS // your names for the terrain possibilities (water, lava, etc)
; MAPS // descriptions (file names) of the available maps
; TOKENS // tokens which keep track of player achievements
; ELEMENTS // your definitions of the 8 elements
; HANDS // your definition of the 'right-hand-weapons' classes
; ITEMS // stuff (equipment, potions, bonus items, etc.)
; SPELLS // spells that can be cast, and their effects and appearance
; MONSTERS // Monsters you can encounter, their skills and appearance
; GROUPS // monster groupings (which are found together in which combo)
; LEVELS // Hero experience level switch points and names
; SCENES // scripted dialog to advance plot
;
; Note to players: Don't read this until you have finished playing the world, as this
; cannot possibly enhance your experience and will no doubt rob you of small pleasures.

; STORY Section
; This has the 'back story' which scrolls by at the very beginning. Most people will
; skip over this.
; a line of text beginning with | will be centered, otherwise text is left-justified.
; Each line of text will be its own paragraph, which will word-wrap nicely (we hope)
; within paragraphs.
; don't be TOO long-winded here or people will get irritated.
; note that leading spaces in a paragraph are significant and would cause the first line
; to be indented.
;
; Special commands, one per line, control text which follows
;
; :C red,green,blue set text color (as in ":C 255,0,0" for bright red)
; :S size set text size (200 is 'normal')

But wait...
Before we go and rename the world Monkey-Less town, there might be something you can do to help.
Yes, YOU.
Travel around Monkey Town, meet the locals, see the sights, and put right, to what once went wrong.
May Jeremy smile upon you...

; TERRAINS Section
; Up to 10 terrains (0-9) may be defined and then 'painted' onto maps. Characters must

; MAPS section
;
; Each map in the world (world, city, cave, etc.) needs an entry in this table
; Map 0 is always the main world map.
;
; Each map needs the following arguments:
;
;	arg0	the map ID (0-255) 0 is main world map Link points are via map numbers
;	arg1	the image file name of the map (a JPG usually, but RLE BMP is OK)
;	arg2	the OBL file name for the map (which places link point objects on that map
; Note: if a terrain file exists, it must share the same name, so do NOT
; put an extension on the file name. "iceland" would indicate both
; "iceland.OBL" and "iceland.TER" (and possibly other files as development
; continues. The OBL and TER files are created when you use the map editor.
; You are primarily responsible for generating the image file (JPG).
; This is also the root name of the MIDI music file played when wandering
; That map. (music files should be in the world or root MIDI folder)
;	arg3	The map name. This appears briefly as the user changes maps.

;--------------------
; Tokens are used by the script engine to keep track of what the player has accomplished.
; Each token is just a number, in the range 1-4095
;
; When you design your quest, assign a token to each major phase of the quest. For
; example, at the start of the game, the player has no tokens. But after you have
; told them the nature of a puzzle, you would give the player the token which
; represents that puzzle. That way, when the player returns to the same scene, the
; script engine sees that he already has the token and hence doesn't repeat the
; explanation (but perhaps gives a short recap reminder instead). Once the player
; has completed the quest (killed the dragon, etc.) you give him a different token.
; If the player already has the final token for a quest, then the script engine
; can simply skip the whole thing, or just deliver a 'thank you' message.
;
; This example uses the least significant digit to identify the tokens (up to 10)
; which belong to a single quest, and the higher digits as a 'quest #' (for
; example, token 47 would be token #7 of quest #4). This is completely arbitrary
; and you are allowed to use token numbers in any order you like.
;
; For example, let's pretend there is a minor quest which requires killing a dragon.
; The tokens might be:
;
; token 1 - the king has told me to kill the dragon
;  token 2  - I have killed the dragon
; token 3 - I have returned to the king and gotten my reward
;
; Then the script file for the king's throne room might look like this:
;
;  IF T1  @alreadyToldHim
; 'Hello young man, please kill the dragon for me
;    GIVE T1
;  END
;
;@alreadyToldHim
;  IF T3  @alreadyRewarded Him
; 'Thank you for killing the dragon, here is some gold
;    GIVE G100
; 'And here is my silver ring of dependability
;    GIVE I43
;    GIVE T3
;  END
;
;@alreadyRewardedHim
; 'Hey, I already GAVE you the ring of dependability! Get out of here!
;  END
;
;------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
; You don't have to have a token defined in this section to use it in the script,
; But you will probably find it easier to keep track of things if you do. Also,
; I plan to use the decriptions you give here to create a 'log book' the player can read
; to review what they have done so far.
;
; You may find it easiest to write the outline of your quests in this section first,
; and not flesh out the actual scenes until the entire structure of the world has
; been defined.

; ELEMENTS Section
;
; Every world has exactly 8 'elements' which you must define (or terrible things will happen..
; woe is you!) The 8 elements form a circle which describes their effectiveness against
; each other. The opposing element is most effective against an element.
;
; Visualize the IDs like this (many thanks to Janne Jaula for this):
;
;         0
;      7  |  1
;       \ | /
;    6 ---+--- 2
;       / | \
;      5  |  3
;         4
;
; With ID 0 at the NORTH position. This must be your 'healing' spell. and will apply healing
; equally to all characters, independent of their element affinities.
;
; The rest of the elements wield pain according to their position on the chart with element 1,
; for example, delivering the most damage to element 5, somewhat less to 4 and 6, and a little to 7 and 3
; while hardly any to 0 1 and 2.
;
; It is likely that element 4 (the opposite of 0) will also be singled out for some special
; effect in the future... the element table is new :-)
;
;	arg0	the element ID  0-7
; arg1	the name of the Element (keep it short, it shows up on the element affinity chart)
; (also if the first letter could be unique, it would help)

; HANDS section
;
; Similar to elements, the 'hand' classes represent the different styles of
; weapons which can be held in the 'right-hand.' The EQUIP screen allows the
; player to train themselves in these 8 categories. Only after they meet
; the required minimum level in a category are they able to wield weapons of
; that category. In theory, training in excess of that point should increase
; the effectiveness of that weapon when used. (though implementation of that
; effect might be delayed)
;
; Note that the first 4 hand entries have custom icons in the game which look
; roughly like a sword, a staff, a bow, and a musical note... so unless you
; have a compelling need to change them...
;
;	arg0	The ID of the 'hand' which strangely enough is numbered 0-7 even though
; elsewhere it is referred to as 1-8, so I expect to needlessly confuse
;			you about this.
;	arg1	The name of the weapon class. Note that each character class starts
; off able to use only one of these classes.
;	arg2	The 'range' of the weapons class. This should be a number in the range
; 0-100 which represents the distance at which EQUIP attacks WILL NOT MISS. A
; small range circle will be drawn at your feet when you have the EQUIP
; list selected and it is your turn to fight.

; Items used in the game. Each line describes one item
; (some of these are objects with which you can be EQUIPPED and which
; modify your attack and defense values, others are things like potions that
; you consume)
;
; NOTE: the bmp files should be in the world directory (your world's ART directory)
; and should be windows RLE bmp files with a 256 color palette (use soul.pal in
; the well of souls ART folder) (otherwise you will experience horrible color
; matching.. a hint to the wise is to draw the images using the right palette
; in the first place)
;
; Each item gets one line of text in the table with multiple arguments separated
; by commas. The arguments are in the following order:

;-------------------
; Spells used in the game. Each line describes one spell
;
; Mandatory arguments are:
;
; 	//	arg0	ID# (1-767)
;	//	arg1	name[MAX_SPELL_NAME_LEN];
;	//	arg2	ppCost; // Play Points (Whack Points) required to learn spell
; // These are now determined automatically and this entry is ignored
;	//	arg3	element; // ELEMENTS table IDs define these (0 must be HEAL)
;	//	arg4	damage; // pure attack strength (before defense filtering)
;
; The damage argument is also used to specify certain special effect spells
; which do not cause regular damage or do one-of-a-kind things
; Generall, a negative value indicates a specialty spell. These are
; called 'diseases' just to give them a general name.
;
;					Damage			// Specialty
;
; -1 RESURRECTION (brings dead to life, with 1 HP)
;
; -2 DISEASE_POISON (saps a little HP every few seconds)
; -3 DISEASE_SAP (saps a little MP every few seconds)
;						-4			DISEASE_STUN		(cannot move, or attack)
; -5 DISEASE_GAG (cannot case spells)(* wears off)
;						-6			DISEASE_NUMB		(cannot use right-hand)(* wears off)
; -7 DISEASE_SLEEP (cannot move, or attack)(* wears off)
; -8 DISEASE_CONFUSE (attacks may hit friends)(* wears off)
; -9 DISEASE_CHARM (once charmed, monster fights for you)
;						-10			DISEASE_TAME		(taming a charmed monster makes it a pet)(NOT IMPLEMENTED YET)
;						-11			DISEASE_FREEZE		(cannot move)
; -20 DISEASE_STRENGTH	(lowers strenth til end of scene) (cure raises it)
; -21 DISEASE_WISDOM (lowers wisdom til end of scene) (cure raises it)
; -22 DISEASE_STAMINA (lowers stamina til end of scene) (cure raises it)
; -23 DISEASE_AGILITY (lowers agility til end of scene) (cure raises it)
; -24 DISEASE_DEXTERITY	(lowers dexterity til end of scene) (cure raises it)
;
; Most 'diseases' wear off when you leave the scene, however each disease can be 'cured'
; by a spell whose 'damage' argument is the disease damage plus -100. For
; example, "-102" would cure poisoning (-2), and "-107" would cure sleep (-7)
; Not all diseases have a logical cure (for example, there is no cure for
;					resurrection (-1)
;
; Some diseases(*) wear off after awhile, even if you don't leave the scene.
;
; The 5 ability diseases are a little different as they lower (or raise, if a cure)
; your ability a certain percentage with each use. Hence repeated lowerings has
;					an larger effect.
;
; Note, except for specialty spells (negative damage value) and LIFE spells, this
; field is now ignored as regular damage is computed automatically

;	//  arg5	price;				// mp required to cast
; // this is now determined automatically and this entry is ignored
;	//	arg6	reqLevel+All;		// minimum required elemental affinity (0-9) to cast it.

-MONSTERS

;-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
; Monster Groups
;
; These define the particular groups of monsters encountered in automatic fight
; scenes.
;
; When an automatic fight scene starts, the nearest link points 'difficulty level'
; is used to find a monster group. Then monsters from that group are added to
; the fight scene, but randomly. The likelyhood of a monster being added increases
; with distance from the link point (this is so that monsters get tougher the
; father you go from town.
;
; You can duplicate monster ids in the list if you want there to be a chance of
; several of that kind of monster in the same fight. For example, the list:
;
;     1,1,1,2,2,3
;
; Could have as many as three monster 1, two monster 2, and one monster 3, though it
; is more likely to have fewer. Close to the link point, there is likely to be only
; a single monster, and it will be most likely to be a type 1 monster. Farther from
; the link point you are more likely to get the entire list of monsters.
;
; The idea, by the way, is to group monsters which you think are more likely to
; hang around together. Like lots of water monsters in a group tied to a watery link.
;
; If the link point specifies a POSITIVE difficulty level, then the monster list will
; get EASIER the closer you are to the link (this is suitable for 'town' links). If
; the difficulty level is NEGATIVE, then the monster list will get HARDER as you get
; closer to the link. (suitable for some 'guarded' area). So, difficulty levels
; -3 and 3 both refer to monster group 3.
;
; By convention, we will let difficulty level '0' mean 'no particular monsters near
; this link. Suitable for some sort of healing pool area.
;
; arg 0 : ID# (1-255) This is the 'monster difficulty level' argument in the link
; arg 1-9; up to 9 monster IDs

;-------------------
; character levels
;
; You can define various character 'classes' which control the
; basic limits of a character (what weapon they can hold in their
; right hand, whether they get magic points, the rate at which
; their levels increase, and some other things)
;
; But a character also has a LEVEL which starts at '1' and goes up along
; with experience points.
;
; This section lets you specify the experience points needed to attain each
; level, and lets you associate a name with each level, so your character
; can appear to evolve through various stages (mage, wizard, warlock, sorceror, etc.)
; even though REALLY only the actual level number is important.
;
; The first argument is a number which indicates the class and the level.
;
;    arg0:		Class+Level (103 = warrior level 3, 203 = wizard level 3)
; arg1: [NO LONGER USED] Additional Experience points to attain level from previous level
; arg2: Additional max HP earned when level is attained
; arg3: Additional max MP earned when level is attained
; arg4: Level Name (use the same name for several levels in a row)
;
; These arguments are only valid for level 0 in each character class. They control
; common aspects of the class
;
;	 arg5		(level 0 only)  magic-ratio
;	 arg6		(level 0 only)  right-hand weapon
;
; Levels run from 1 to 98 maximum.
;
; You only need to have entries for levels where you want the hp, mp, new spell, or
; level name to change. Minimum experience levels are now computed automatically
; for you. If you give an 'empty' level name (except for level 1 where it is
; mandatory) the previous name will be used for that level
;
; Note that LEVEL ZERO (100,200, etc) is a SPECIAL ENTRY which names the actual
; character class, and is not a level in of itself. I know this is horribly
; confusing, but it is just so dang CONVENIENT to do it this way!
; So, for LEVEL 0 ONLY: maxHP and maxMP are the starting levels of a new character
; in that class, level_name is the 'character class name' which appears in the
; new soul dialog box.
;
; LEVEL ZERO is where you define a characters magic-ration and right-hand weapon.
; Their 'magic ratio' determines what percentage of their attack points are used for magic versus sword attack;
;
; Hence a MAGIC-USER would have a high magic ratio (80-90) while a SWORD-USER
; would have lower one (10-20), and some other characters might be more 50-50
; A character needs to be more than 50% in the respective sense in order to
; equip swords or staffs. For example a magic ratio > 50 would allow staff,
; < 50 would allow sword, and == 50 would allow both.
;
; The right-hand weapon controls which class of EQUIP item they can hold in their
; right hand (each class is hard-wired to a single right-hand item, but the
; world designer can define what those actual items are). Between the combination
; of magic-ratio and right-hand you can create some interesting classes. For example
; an ARCHER and a MAGIC-ARCHER might both have right-hand set to 'BOW' but different
; magic-ratios. The magic-archer (with the higher magic-ratio) would be better at
; casting spells, but his actual bow-use would be weaker.
;
; The default right-hand weapons are:
;
;	1	Sword
;	2	Staff
;	3	Bow
;	4	Musical Instrument
;	5	Machine

; The SCENE opcode has the following arguments:
;
;	SCENE		arg1		arg2		arg3		arg4		arg5		arg6
; scnNum scn.jpg Style Name Effects Weather
;
;	scnNum - every scene must have a unique scene number. Link points on maps can
; call out specific scene numbers. In addition to that several scene numbers
;			are special:
; 0	Is always the intial well of souls (where you incarnate)
; 1	The standard 'camp' scene (links can override details)
; 2	The standard 'fight' scene (links can override details)
; it is advised that you treat scene numbers 0 through 9 as 'reserved' to
; avoid conflicts with later developments
;
;	scn.jpg	- The background JPG file (from the SCENES folder of the world) to be used
; as the background image of the scene. Do not include the .JPG extension
;
;	Style	-	To Be Defined
;				WELL, FIGHT, SCENE
;
;	Name	- The name of the scene (seen on title bar while in the scene)
;
;	Effects	-	Special effects applied to the background JPG. These effects last for the
; duration of the scene (except when temporarily modified by a spell during
;				a particular magical attack)
;				0	No effects
; 1	Underwater ripple (as though viewer is under water)
; 2	Lake ripple (as though the bottom 30% of the scene is a lake reflecting)
; 3	Video (every other line is black, giving a 'coarse video' quality
; 4	Jitter (random vertical jitter)
;				5	EarthQuake
;
;	Weather	-	Special effect (on top of all players) showin weather
;				0	no weather
;				1	rain
;				2   medium rain
;				3   heavy rain
;				7   light snow
;				8   medium snow
;				9   heavy snow

	1: Going from left to right, there are the HP and MP meters.
	1: The GP and PP counters.
	1: The Return to the well button.

	1: The camp button.
	1: The map button.
	1: The Status screen button.
	1: The equipment screen button.
	1: The magic screen button.
	1: And the item screen button.
	1: HP stands for Hit Points.
	1: As your level goes up (more on that later) so does your max HP
	1: The number on the left is your current HP.
	1: The number on the right is your max HP.
	1: You're current HP goes down if damage comes to you.
	1: You know, monsters hitting you and the like.
	1: HP can be restored by going to a well., or by buying items that restore HP
	1: Jeremy's fountain, right outside of town, is the closest one here.
	1: If your current HP drops to zero, you're, well.
	1: dead.
	1: Once dead, the amount of exp you've earned for the next level is cut in half.
	1: As is your current amount of PP.
	1: Don't worry, you can be brought back to life at the well.
	1: MP works the same way, in that there are two numbers, one current, one max.
	1: Only MP goes down when you cast magical spells.
	1: You guessed it, MP stands for Magic Points.
	1: Different spells cost a different amount of MP, so if you don't have enough, you can't cast the spell.
	1: No, you don't die when you're MP drops to 0.
	1: Like HP, MP can be restored by going to a well, or by using itmes that restore MP.
	1: The currency of the realm is Gold.
	1: Convinently enough, it is bountiful, but in little pieces.
	1: Thus, we get the term, gold pieces.
	1: True, you can call them gold coins if you want.
	1: It doesn't make a difference.
	1: You get money from killing monsters, helping people you meet, and the like.
	1: You can spend gold in shops, buying items to recover yourself, or weapons and armor to, err, better yourself.
	1: Of course, you can always give gold to a friend
	1: By clicking on the number of GP's you have, selecting the amount you want to give, pressing ok, then clicking
	1: On your friend.

	@CONTINUE2
	@STUPIDLIMIT
	1: PP stands for Participation Points
	1:Participation Points are an important part in developing your character.
	1:You get participation points by whacking a monster, or by casting a spell on a monster.
	1:The Amount of participation points you get depends on your wisdom.
	1:Participation points are used in: Learning new weapon classes.
	1:Learning new spells.
	1: Learning new spell elements.
	1: Advancing your skill in weapon classes.
 	1: And advancing current spell elements.
	1: Wooh, thats a mouthful.
	1: I'll explain more about the usage of PP when we get to those areas.
	1: Remember, if you die, you lose half of your PP.
	1: Next is the Return to Well Button.
	1: It looks like a well.
	1: You can click it anytime to return to the well of souls.
	1: You can then start again later more or less where you left off.
	1: Since you are in the Information Kiosk talking to me, you see a pair of walking feet.
	1: This is the "leave" or "flee" button.
	1: You can use it at almost anytime to leave the scene.
	1: I recomend not pushing it now, since I have so much more knoledge to bestow upon you.
	1: If you wern't in the Kiosk, and you were on a map.
	1: The world map, the map of this temple, etc.
	1: You would see a campfire instead of the feet.
	1: The "camp" button lets you create a little scene of your own.
	1: There, you can chat with the world without fear of running into monsters.
	1: You can also use items, since you can't use those on map screens.
	1: The little picture of the unfolding map is the map button.
	1: In the upper right hand corner of your screen, you'll see the current map.
	1: Everybody who is playing in the same world as you will appear on the list right under the map.
	1: That means that they don't have to be on the same map as you.
	1: Keep in mind that you can chat with anyone, no matter where you are, and no matter where they are.
	1: The next button is the stats button. I'll explain more about that later.
	1: The next button is the equipment screen button, I'll explain more about that later as well.
	1: The next button is the magic screen button, I'll explain more about that later.
	1: The last button is the item screen button.
	1: You can use items on yourself, or give items to your friends
	1: Bear in mind you can only do this in scenes, not on maps.
	1: in order to use or give an item, first click on the potion bottle.
	1: click on the item you want to use in the list that pops up
	1: you'll notice that now your cursor is now a smoking potion.
	1: Click on the person you want to use or give it too.
	1: If your cursor is not smoking, then you can't use the potion at that time.
	1: Some basic items, are the health potion, for restoring HP,and the magic potion, for restoring MP,
	1:WOOOH! That was a lot of information!
	1: You might not have gotton it all down, but I suggest you play the game

	@CAT
	1: OK, the level gaining system.
	1: EXP stands for expierence points.
	1: You gain expierence points by beating monsters.
	1: Unlike PP, you must kill all monsters in the scene before you get any EXP.
	1: The Status screen is the stack of trading cards, in between the walking feet(or campsite) and sword and shield.
	1: The status screen then replaces whatever was in the top right corner.
	1: Right below the status screen, is a list of names of anyone near you.
	1: In order to join someones party, they must be close enough to appear in the status list.
	1: You can then right click on their name to either join or leave thier party.
	1: From top to bottom, the things on the status screen, are
	1: Your name.
	1: Your level, then your sub-class.
	1: Your class, and then your relationship with magic.
	1: Your current/max HP
	1: Your current/max MP
	1: your wisdom.
	1: Your strength.
	1: Your Stamina.
	1: Your Agility.
	1: Your Attack based upon how good your weapons are.
	1: Your Defense based on how much armor you have.
	1: How many EXP you have.
	1: How much more is needed for the next level.
	1: Your name, hmm how can I describe it.
	1: It's your name.
	1: Your level just gives you a general feeling of how strong you are.
	1: A level 10 person isn't exactly ten times stronger then a level 1 person, but is a whole lot stronger.
	1: The name coming after that isn't your class, it's just your sub class, as your levels go up, this will change.
	1: The next thing down is your class. All of the classes have different abilities.
	1: Next to that is your relationship with magic.
	1: A magic user is 90 percent magic, while a sword user is 10 percent magic.
	1: This just means that even if the magic user and sword user are the same level and they cast the same spell.
	1: The magic user's magic will be nine times stronger.
	1: Next your current HP and your max HP.
	1: As your level goes up, so does your max HP.
	1: Magic is the exact same.
	1: Your Wisdom is one of the five things you can invest ability points into every time you gain a level.
	1: The higher your wisdom, the more PP you get per time you hit a monster.
	1: Your Strength is next, having to do with how powerful you attack monsters.
	1: Your Stamina is your natual ability to withstand damage. The higher it is, the less monsters will hurt you.
	1: Agility is next. The more agile you are, the less likely, monsters will be able to hurt you.
	1: Then there is Dexterity, the higher your dexterity, the more likely you will not miss at monsters..
	1: The better equipment you are equiped with will make your ATTACK go up.
	1: The higher it is, the more you will hurt monsters.
	1: DEFENSE will go up as you buy better and better equipment.
	1: The higher your defense, the harder it is for monsters to inflect pain upon you.
	1: EXP PTS is the total amount of expierence you've gotton in the game.
	1: next to that is the amount you need for the next level up.
	1: Wheneve you level up, a screen will appear, asking you to apply your ability points.
	1: You can apply ability points in any of the five catagories (Wisdom, strength, stamina, agility, dexterity)
	1: There are also spells that can temporarily raise or lower your stats in the five catagories.
	1: And throughout the game, there are seeds, which can PERMANANTLY raise your stats.
	1: You're in real luck if you can find some of them.
	1: I think thats everything you need to know about the stats screen.
	1: Once again, I've gone and told you a whole lot of Information in one sitting.

	1: Ah Yes, the equipment screen.
	1: It is located in the top right corner of the screen.
	1: The screen below it is a list of the itmes you are carrying that have the potential of bieng equiped.
	1: You can equip helmets on the head.
	1: A Weapon in the hand that looks like a fist, your right hand.
	1: A piece of armor on your chest.
	1: A Shield in your open hand, your left hand.
	1: A ring on your outstended hand.
	1: Boots on your feet.
	1: And you can also equip a necklace.
	1: The two numbers in the upper right, Att, and Def, are there to give you an understanding of how powerful you are.
	1: The higher Att is, the more damage you will inflict upon monsters.
	1: The higher Def is, the less damage monsters will inflict upon you.
	1: Below those two numbers is the training button.
	1: The training button allows you to harness your skills with right handed weapons.
	1: In order to train with a weapon, highlight the weapon you want to train with and left click.
	1: Bear in mind, every time you click, it takes up 200 PP.
	1: At the bottom of the training screen, the amount of PP needed for the next level of that weapon is shown.
	1: Every training session is 200PP
	1: Everytime you use a weapon of the class you want to increase in battle, a bonus 20 PP goes to that class.
	1: You can not even use weapons of a certain class, until your skill level in that class reaches 5.
	1: Every character class specializes in a different weapon at first, but through training can use any weapon they want.
	1: The max level any weapon skill can go to is nine.
	1: The Done button takes you out of the training screen.
	1: In the lower right screen is a list of all of the things that can be equiped that you are carrying.
	1: You may not be able to equip them yet, for instance, if it is a weapon, and you are not level five in the weapons class yet.
	1: In front of every weapon name is a symbol, this is what each symbol means.
	1: Green Plus: You can equip it, and it will make you better! You should almost always equip things with a green plus.
	1: Red Plus: You can equip it, but your level is not high enough.
	1: Every piece of equipment has a minimum level requirement.
	1: If your level is not high enough, you can not equip the piece of equipment.
	1: Red X: Your character hasn't been trained to use this type of weapon yet.
	1: Nothing: This piece of equipement is either weaker then the one you are equiped with, or it will not affect your stats at all.
	1: The little picture next to each item tells what class it is.
	1: A little ring is for a ring.
	1: A little sword is for a sword.
	1: And so on.
	1: I believe that covers everyting in the equipment screen.
	1: OK, I've almost told you everything I know.

	1: By far, the most adventurers get confused by this screen.
	1: To get to the magic screen, click on the Magic wand and scroll.
	1: In the upper right hand corner, there is the select an element screen.
	1: Below it, there is the list of spells that you know.
	1: Also in the select an element screen is the element skills button, and the learn spell button.
	1: The element skills button is identical to the weapons training room.
	1: You click on the element you wish to train in.
	1: 200 PP is taken away.
	1: Using a spell in the element you wish to train in gives you a bonus 20 PP.
	1: And you are one step closer in gaining a level in that element.
	1: The only difference is that it is possible for your skill in an element to go down.
	1: There are eight elements in the circle, and each element has one that is the farthest away from it.
	1: Those two elements are "oppossites"
	1: When fighting monsters of one element, using that elements opposite is the strongest against it.
	1: While using the element that is right next to the monsters element in the circle will do little damage.
	1: If you train once in an element, and then train once in that elements oppossite.
	1: Then the original element you trained in will go down a little.
	1: Level nine is the highest level for any element.
	1: It is possible to become level nine in all eight elements, but it is difficult.
	1: At the bottom of the element skills screen, it tells you how much more PP is needed to advance to the next level in that element.
	1: The Done button take you out of the element screen.
	1: The learn spell screen is where you learn spells to cast on yourself or your enimies.
	1: Next to every spell is the element of the spell, and the power of the spell.
	1: If there is a red x next to the spell, that means that your level in that element is not high enough to learn the spell.
	1: If your level is high enough to learn the spell,
	1: But then through teaching yourself the spells opposite.
	1: Your element level goes below the minimum...
	1: You lose the ability to cast that spell.
	1: You can always train in that element again until your level goes up enough to cast the spell again.
	1: Under power, it may say ALL
	1: If is says all, that merely means that it effects all monsters, or all the people in your party.
	1: After you highlight the spell you want, click on the learn spell button.
	1: Clicking on the done button exits the screen.
	1: Now, eventually, you may have so many spells it would be a pain to search through a huge list of them.
	1: All you have to do, is click on the element ring on the spells screen, to show a list of just that elements spells.
	1: Clicking in the center of the ring will show you every spell that you know.
	1: On the bottom right hand corner is a list of all the spells that you know.

	1: Every monster has a certain amount of HP, just like you.
	1: Once it reaches 0 the monster dies.

	1: Every now and again, a red number will appear over your head.
	1: That is the amount of damage the monster has hit you.

	1: First of all, click on the spells screen.
	1: Then, select the spell you want to assign a hot key to.
	1: Then, Hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard.
	1: It's below Shift on the left hand side.
	1: While holding down Ctrl, hold down one of the F buttons (Located at the very top row of your keyboard.)
	1: You can hold down F5 through F12, but not F10.
	1: Let go of both the Ctrl key, and the F button of your choice at the same time.

1: Ahoy there, %2
1: Truth be told, I never expected to see anybody out here in a volcano
1: But as a runner of an information kiosk, it is my duty to help those who may need it.
POSE 5
1: I am sure that my brother, Ned, has already told you all of the basic skills you need to know in the game
1: hot keys, spells, the status screen, blah blah blah.
1: I always thought he was boring.
1: What I have to tell you is much shorter.
1: What I wanted to tell you is that there are certain terrains that you can't walk on unless you have certain boots.
1: I believe you already have a pair of rock climbing boots.
1: Let me rephrase that.
1: You should have a pair of rock climbing boots.
1: If you don't have them, then you are not supposed to be here yet, and will probably get killed!
1: But I guess you can explore here if you like anyway.
1: You also need boots to walk on lava.
1: I can't tell you where you can get these boots.
1: But bear in mind that if you can't walk on, and it looks like there is something else to explore
1: You just might need a special kind of boot.
1: See, that's all I wanted to say
1: I didn't even make you answer any stupid questions or anything.
1: I'm much better at this then Ned is.
1: Good luck on your adventure %2
